No penguins were harmed in the making of this post

badpingu.jpg

I might be the last person to see The Penguin Tossing Game but thanks to tj (guest blogging for Amber), I intend to stop work immediately and make up for lost time…

Update: Graeme has found another source for the penguin game if that one doesn’t work.

I must be near the end of the line as well. What could be more enjoyable then poking a penguin into the snow beak first? Is there a puffin version?

    Pingi Bashing

Thanks to Daisy I seem to have spent most of my morning bashing poor little penguins about the head with a club. Still, I managed beat Frank scoring a huge 588.8 - get on!…

    Penguin Thumping made fun

I’ve received various screenshots of the Penguin Thumping game over the last few days. Having ignored them so far, but finding that the craze may be even more widespread than I had imagined, I decided to have a go myself….

    Snippets

Gaile has returned to the Blogosphere with Slices of Life. A project to watch could be Woman 2 Woman, watch that space. On a lighter note, if you need

Thanks guys. As for the “ickle daisies” - does it slow down page load significantly?

The daisies don’t slow down the site they’re only icle and only one has to load for them all to show.

You need to make it into a favicon now.

I was thinking about that but is it correct that IE6 won’t display them? So I’ll have to download another browser (Mozilla? Opera?) to see what it looks like? Unless a kind person where to send a screenshot…

IE shows favicons in the favourites list but not in the address bar. I would still recommend downloading a new browser though as this is just the tiny tip of the iceburg in the list of reasons why Mozilla and Opera are much better browsers .

Ah! Lightbulb moment. I tend not to use Favo(u)rites in IE because frankly it sucks. I used Opera at my brother’s over Christmas and was very impressed. Time to bite the bullet I guess…

I did do you the daisy as a favicon yonks ago, remember? If you don’t have it its still on my server.

I do indeed still have it, thank you Steve. The delay is in deciding whether to stick with the pink daisy theme or go for something a little more “sophisticated”…

Ohh, is this a total site revamp then? Must admit I still like your site the way it is. Very fresh.
