My achy breaky heart

I don’t know the lyrics to that song, nor the name of the chap who sings it (someone in a hat called Garth? no it’s Billy Ray Cyrus, thank you google) so it’s especially annoying to have that one line floating around in your head for days on end.

Question: What’s the difference between a link log and a journal style blog?

Answer: Link loggers don’t write about things that matter.

But link loggers can help build communities and logging on to find so many kind emails and comments is hugely appreciated by this blogger. I’m taking a deep breath and will reply to everyone over the next day or so.

Thank you, you guys rock.

Dammit Cindy, it’s bad enough knowing that single line, the whole song would *really* push me over the edge!

*lashing broken-heart lyrics into giant sticky ball to drop-kick into the deepest part of the ocean*

… if going through the heartbreak was bad enough, why do we need to be trotted through the memories twenty times a day by perfect strangers?

oh, and, welcome back to your blog, Daisy. We were all just sitting around talking about you. Alright everyone, drop the gossip and look respectable.

Anan, you have such a wonderful turn of phrase, I’m picturing those big blobs plopping into the ocean right now.

Hi sweetie, I am glad you’re OK but I am extremely unhappy that now I have that bloody song going round in my head (AND I can remember the guy’s mullet too).

You’re back - jolly good. I was starting to question life as we know it, since in an internet which forever changes, your presence provides a reassuring constant. Or something profound like that.

And why the suggestion link loggers are in any way inferior to people who write “stuff”? I always think of a group of bloggers being like a group of friends - some make you laugh, some tell you interesting things, some bugger off for months on end and come back expecting you to welcome them back with open arms (ahem) and some hold the group together like some kind of sticky love glue with a bit of everything. You are the glue of this little corner of the internet.

BTW, please don’t encourage sending Billy Ray Cyrus lyrics around the internet - this sort of thing should be shut in the great cupboard in the sky, not promoted.

PS. “Sticky love glue” was not meant to sound quite so unsavoury as it appears to.

I’m also with the manly smell - but definitely not on the ’sticky love glue’ - ewwww *wrinkles nose *

We missed you, glad you are back!

Like I said - sticky love glue was not meant to have the conotations you filthy devils appear to have given it.

‘Sticky glue of love’ perhaps? No, that doesn’t sound any better.

I think she’s stopped reading so far down the page.

She hasn’t responded with a comment, so I can only assume we’re hanging around down here by ourselves.

Either that or she doesn’t like us as much as the people at the top of the post. Which is a bit unfair because I think we’re all pretty cool down here.

    Dammit, I bin sussed ;-)

Actually, I’ve been putting my bold & brassy cap on and replying to emails separately but Real Life keeps interrupting so I’m still on the A list (that’s A for Anan and Anni rather than the star studded Tom Cruise sort of A list) (although to be honest, I’d rather see a comment from our A list than Hollywood’s A list, no?) (am I rambling now?)

…and besides, it’s hard to type when you’re beaming all over at being called the internet’s equivalent of sticky love glue. I’m just emailing the solicitor to add a codicil to my will - that’s going on my gravestone.
