How about this then…

A mini unofficial half-blogathon to run from 14:30 to 02:30 GMT - I’ll post every half hour and… you donate a Dollar/Pound/Euro/Rand/Rial for every post you enjoy to any charity [there’s a long list here!] that is helping in the relief effort for the millions (yes, it’s millions) of victims Asia quake.

Nice idea! If I did the maths right (24 posts?), I already donated 1 Euro for each of the first twenty entries to the German Red Cross earlier today, and hereby pledge that I will not enjoy the last four. ;-)

Hi ya Daisy,
We donated YESTERDAY to AmeriCares.
I’m also going to offer help to a local (Wheaton MD) Buddhist organization which lost ALL of its overseas temple and most of its students in the Tsunami.

Glad to see you’re doing this. We’re all just stunned by the scope of the disaster.

Thank you, thank you for putting this THON together. I’ll put my money toward Doctors Without Borders. Their website (http://www.doctorswithoutborders.org/)is being bombarded at the moment. A good, good sign. I can’t stop thinking about how much more is to come with all the disease that has infested the waters. Lucky, lucky to all of us that can help even the wee-est bit.

What a great idea - I didn’t see this til just now but I made two donations last night - one to the Red Cross and one for Christmas - all your posts are worth a pound!
