First post of the new year

Graeme has been working overtime this past few days to bring us a cornucopia* of new links. My favourite so far is Paper Islands but I’ll be back to have a look at The Hiding Room later.
* yes I know I over-use that word but it’s so purty.

From anan, some great cookies and as always some - wonderful - writing.

I’ve just realised that linking to Anil Dash comes with hidden dangers. Guys, the stuff here rarely gets beyond saucy, there’s no p0rn and no nekkid wimmin. if you’regoing to use a search engine to get your jollies, learn to spell first okay? Hang on, there’s an idea for a new rating system for links:

M = Mary, so squeaky clean even Mary Whitehouse couldn’t have found fault with it;
G = Grandma, you wouldn’t hesitate to send it to your grandmother;
C = Cubicle, things you’d share with your cubicle cohorts at work;
LN = Late Night, similar to NSFW but less likely to offend.

Moving swiftly on, time to see some cute dogs and resolve once again to borrow someone’s video camera, send a clip in and win some spondulix from one of those home video shows.

I’ve been wondering why my back is aching a little today, must have been all that chocolate

    Honest to God, we had a dog who would say “hamburger” when we ordered at a take-out drive-thru. He generally got one free, too. Fun posts here today.

    Loving Paper Islands.

    Bad spelling: I often get people looking for ’sex cilips’ or ‘naked women cilips’. CILIP is the Chartered Institute for Information & Library Professionals, who, as a librarian, I mention every so often. Makes me laugh though. That and ’sex downland’ - downland coming from the Downland Gridshell in Sussex that I link to.
