ER credits

Does anyone else watch ER on a non widescreen television set? Then these names will be familiar to you:

ng-Na
Noah Wy
rminder Nagra
Maura Tier
ran Visnjic

I don’t want to rain on anyone’s creative parade but do the folks who create the credits realise that not everyone in the world has widescreen tv?

And isn’t this series (11) getting very dark? Apart from the storylines (I just watched the almost unbearable children and the window epsisode), the regular characters are all so unhappy/unwell/troubled and all light relief seems to have disappeared.

Oh I know, it’s only a tv programme. But with so much shit happening in the Real World, a gal needs her weekly soap to keep her going.

I agree with you on this. The only time I ever watch it now is when I accidentally hit the channel when it’s playing. It got way to depressing, and all my favorite characters left.

I was reading an ER forum earlier and without giving too much away in case folks don’t want spoilers, it seems that things won’t be the same by the end of this series. Damn shame I say!

I know what you mean, sounds like Monday’s is going to be the usual laugh-a-minute. Abby deserves a break, as does Carter, maybe he ought to come to the UK and woo a certain blonde librarian…

(Damn, it’s only a tv show)

…carolyn is a big fan of *targat* which I always thought was a mis-spelling of an american shop :^)…

    …appears she watches stargate :^)…

…and last night’s showing of farenheit 9/11 lost some of its punch when it became impossible to read the clock that ticked by as mr.bu$h sat after being told about the second plane hitting the tower :^(…

V funny, Daisy. But ER only gets darker this season. For light relief have you checked out Desperate Housewives – it’s rather good.

Katherine, Monday’s episode on C4 is very dark. You know what’s going to happen at the start but it’s the ending that is almost too awful to watch. Fine acting from the mother and son. And excuse me, Carter will be coming *here* first!

Billy, I taped F9/11, thanks for the tip off. Maybe I’ll borrow my father’s dvd to watch it instead.

Leah, I watched the first 2 episodes of DH but haven’t seen the rest I’m afraid. I’ll check the tv listings to see if it’s repeated this weekend, fingers crossed.

I can’t watch it anymore. I find it too distressing. I thought it was me, but by the looks of this, I see it’s just the general feeling. Bring on the housewives!

I’m actually liking this season more…for a while it was too splayed…too many story lines and it went all over the place. This season is back to being a tighter production…although some are pretty gruesome stories, like this weeks… the writing is better.

Our TV is square and the names look just fine. Do you think they might be cropping a widescreen version in the shipment to Europe?

True, the story lines are darker. But that “ran Visnjic” fellow sure is cute.

On my non-widescreen TV ER comes in letterbox format so I see the whole thing. Could this be a benefit of digital TV?

And I watched one and a half episodes of Desperate Houswives and thought, “this is rubbish”. So I haven’t watched the rest. Does it get better?
