Eyeballs, up to my
Buried in deadlines, not getting enough sleep, missing me blogging but otherwise fine.
Two things from Adrian that I have to pass on:
2. Two really useful tips for Firefox users: form field functionality. You know when you open (for example) a comments box and your name, email and url are already there to save you typing them again and again? Well once you’ve been using Firefox for a while, not only does Firefox save your details, it also starts saving (randomly?) the details of other sites visited [like this]. Adrian’s post reveals that it’s easy-peasy lemon-squeezy to get rid of those extra options, just hit shift+delete on each line that you don’t need and poof, it’s gone. (Not sure about the Mac equivalent, anyone?). Colour me stupid but I wouldn’t have known it was called “form field functionality”, not if you’d sat there and waited until the next millenium.
The other tips concern Find functionality. Very useful indeed.
If you’re near a radio or a computer at 20:00 UK time you might like to tune in to BBC Radio 4 for tonight’s File on 4:
Gerry Northam investigates allegations that much of Iraq’s oil wealth has been squandered by incompetence and corruption during the current occupation.
You’ll also be able to hear it on the Listen Again page for the next seven days.
