MEME AID: The Bloggers’ Disco

Mike over at Troubled Diva is calling for entries for the The Bloggers’ Disco playlist.

So many songs, so little time. Only one song per blog? Yegads.

After minutes of deliberation (if I starting making lists I’m doomed), I’m going to go for If I Can’t Have You – Yvonne Elliman from Saturday Night Fever.

Best of all, it’s all aid of Friday’s Red Nose Day. Go slap on some glitter, drag out the lycra, wobble in your wedges and go nominate a disco favourite.

Update: you can hear a snippet of the song here, along with other discoliciousness from the 70s. Now I wish I’d picked Donna Summer’s Hot Stuff or That’s the Way (I Like It) by KC & the Sunshine Band. I should have checked these disco compilations before naming the first song that came into my head. Dammit.

I can’t believe the first song that came to mind when I read this was Yvonne elliman – “If I can’t have you” Another thing we have in common. :)
