Favourite Things

Inspired by Birdy’s wonderful post, here’s my (tuneless, non-rhyming and not very well scanning) version:

Raindrops on roses and men in fresh rugby kits
Freshly brewed tea with digestive biscuits
Long winter walks on beaches with dogs
These are a few of my favorite things.

Eight week old puppies, yes even poodles
Church bells and dumbells and toys that make doodles
Opening Thunderbird, hearing the pings
These are a few of my favorite things.

Blogging and surfing, virtual friendship
Cold mountain streams, perfect to skinny dip
Hot baths with candles, warm open fires
These are a few of my favorite things.

When the moz bites
When The Shrub speaks
When heartache begins
I simply remember my favorite things
And then I don’t feel, so bad.
