Ooooh, I LOVE Bloglines, me. When I see someone's updated, I click through anyway, so I always "get the whole user experience". For me, it's got to be web-based as I generally use about three different PCs.

I should point out that the advantage of a web-based feed reader such as Bloglines is that it is their site downloading the feeds, not you personally.

If I was using a locally-installed reader, when I tried to use it here, I still wouldn't be able to download the feeds from any Blogger-based blogs, because I'd still be trying to access a resticted domain from within the firewall.

It's the fact that Bloglines isn't restricted that's the real advantage here.

All this techi RSS feed stuff hurts my brain... can't everyone just get a blogroll so I can know when you've updated?

The thing is, I am just to damn lazy to figure it all out!

Ahhh ooops. FTT is my skunkproject. It's no way near primetime and you shouldn't have been able to register.

Mea Cupla.

Oh, and your RSS feed only gives a snippet of each post.

Oh goodness, the Feed This Thing design is by one of my geek-crushes, open source designer-supremo/musician Andreas Viklund.

Here's a tip for the unwary - you have to set up Categories before adding feeds.

Right, my RSS2.0 feed is showing excerpts of posts rather than the whole thing -but- in a desktop aggregator such as SharpReader the whole post is displayed. If I look at the rss xml output for this site, the whole post is displayed there. Does that mean that FeedThisThing chooses to display just an excerpt? Can you choose excerpt/truncated post and full post options in Bloglines? I promise I'm not being lazy, I can't find my login details just at the minute and can do without yet another registration detail to take care of.

I'm getting quite a few hits from what looks like a Bloglines alternative, Feed This Thing, will sign up now and let you know how it goes.

If you visit via FeedThisThing could you give us some feedback?
