Commenting is fun
But not when you get error pages. Alison is the latest to let me know that sometimes you’re unable to leave a comment (she’s tried a few times today).
The only plugins I have activated are:
AutoMeta
Exec-PHP
Live Comment Preview
MiniPosts
and I’ve not changed anything since upgrading to WordPress 2.0.2 a few weeks back.
Any thoughts on what I can do to fix this?
Later…
Um, I should have suggested an email since the problem is the inability to comment… daisy AT chasingdaisy DOT com. Murky buckets.

Meanwhile it ain’t stopping the spammers.

possibly the live comment preview is knacking things?

See, that one went through fine first time.
It’s an intermittent problem, but a bloody annoying one. Mind you, I’d still drop the live comment preview – but that’s just my preference – i know what a comment’s going to look like…

Hmm, I was wondering if it might be down to the ‘s.
Or it might be brackets…

I doubt it’s autometa, but ping me if it remains broken!

Do we know whether it’s affecting any browser/OS more than others?

Lyle, comment preview has been active for yonks (technical term) and I do hope it’s not that. I’m just looking at the WordPress support forums and it seems I’m not alone so I’ll see if anyone else’s fix has worked.
Rich, thank you (I’m sure autometa is not to blame though) :-)
Em, that’s a good point, will email those affected.
